Player Recruitment

Are you interested in joining the Sarnia Imperials?  The Sarnia Imperials actively recruits players each season.  Players must be willing to show dedication and determination to the Team.  Sarnia Imperials is a player oriented team that understands that family is important and it believed that commitment takes concentration. 

Each player will be expected to take pride in wearing the Sarnia Imperials name, as well as being loyal to your team-mates, coaches and fans.  Being a part of the Sarnia Imperials means being a good citizen and representing both the team and the City of Sarnia with respect and dignity.

The Sarnia Imperials are a non-profit corporation and relies on sponsors and player fees.  Each player is responsible for paying their fees and assisting in fundraising efforts.  Sponsors are very important to the team and must be treated with respect.

Acceptance onto the Team

Each player is required to pay for their fees or security of a sponsor for at lest $500 towards the team. Player fees are to be paid in full prior to the beginning of main training camp. Payments can be made all at once or by two post dated cheques.

PAYMENT OF FEES DOES NOT END THE SEARCH FOR ADDITIONAL SPONSORSHIPS OR ASSISTANCE IN FUNDRAISING EFFORTS

Each player that has paid their fees will be provided the following equipment for loan with a deposit of $250.00 paid to the Sarnia Imperials as a post-dated cheque.

Equipment provided includes:

  • Helmet
  • Shoulder pads
  • Game & practice pants
  • Game & practice belts
  • Game socks
  • Thigh, knee and tail bone pads

Transportation Details - Fundraising is Required

The Sarnia Imperials does not guarantee Highway Coach Transportation to all road games although we do try to provide for at least one half.  Fundraising dollars pay for this service and it is up to all team members to help secure these funds for their own comfort.  Car pooling will be arranged whenever a Highway Coach can not be provided and partial gas money will be issued when there is sufficient dollars from fundraising.
